Recipe from my favorite cocktail book at the moment– “Savory Cocktails: Sour Spicy Herbal Umami Bitter Smoky Rich Strong” by Greg Henry! I had no idea that salt could be such an interesting thing to add to cocktails. 🙂
🍊 Aperol Tequila Swizzle 🍊
🔸2 oz tequila
🔸1 oz Aperol
🔸3 dashes grapefruit or orange bitters
🔸Pinch of course salt
🔸Grapefruit twist ice cube as garnish
Mix and shake all of the ingredients except for club soda and salt. Pour into a cocktail glass and sprinkle salt on the ice cube. I also rimmed my glass with honey and a chunk of broiled + dried grapefruit peel that I ground up in the mortar and pestle.
