My philosophy on grocery shopping is that you should always save a budget to buy all the weird ingredients that you want to try. Sometimes this philosophy means that I come home with every single pumpkin-flavored product from Trader Joe’s in October… Sometimes this means I come home with a 12-pack of new-to-me Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray soda.
? Celery Gimlet ?
- 1.5 oz gin
- .5 oz Green Chartreuse
- .25 oz St. Germain
- .75 oz lime juice
- Top with Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda
I adapted this recipe from the NY Times cocktail book and replaced the lime syrup + celery juice that it called for with the Cel-Ray soda. It's botanical, it's herby, and a little peppery. Three beguiling and surprising flavors that partner well with gin. 🙂
