Here in NYC it’s been so hot and muggy that I overheard a coworker saying, “It feels like I’m living in a mouth!” ? When you take into account those NYC summer smells, a more accurate description might be an armpit. ?Have I mentioned I do love it here? 😛 On the bright side, gin and tonics feel like they were invented for days like these… And thank goodness they exist because there’s not much that sounds delicious at the moment. ????? This recipe comes from the @nytimes book of cocktails. Next time I might infuse the cloves for an even stronger flavor instead of just adding them on top. Dog glassware from @thebarkshop!

December 31, 2018 at 11:53 amWhen kumquats are in season at Thanksgiving, i stuff a clean mason jar with them, add some cloves and top off with gin. Then I put away in a dark and quiet place till New years eve and make the best tasting GandTs with elderflower tonic eater and the flavored gin.
