Backyard Persimmons

  • 2 oz Pueblo Viejo tequila
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • .75 oz simple syrup
  • 1/4 persimmon, muddled
  • 3 cardamom pods, muddled


  1. Add the persimmon and cardamom pods with the tequila. Muddle until you have a relatively consistent pulp at the bottom of your shaker. Strain out solids with a fine mesh strainer and discard. Add other ingredients with ice, shake, and strain over ice! Garnish with a cardamom pod or an edible flower if you've still got them. :)
