Last week I got the most delightful delivery from Danielle who works at Barrow’s Intense, a company based in Brooklyn that makes a ginger liqueur like nothing I’ve had before. This liqueur is different (and so lovely!) because it tastes like fresh ginger juice with that hot, crisp spiciness… but it is a shelf-stable liqueur! It was so lovely chatting with Danielle about their “extremely handmade” process and how they finally settled on the perfect ginger varieties. To find out where you can buy the liqueur, check out their site with the store locator!
Because this liqueur tastes so fresh, I wanted to invent a cocktail that used fresh ingredients as well. Since ginger pairs so well with carrots and oranges, I made a root veggie variation on a hurricane.
