Red Velvet: Bourbon, Coconut Water, Falernum

Found this recipe over on Lucky Peach! It’s like cake in a cocktail… except without that overpowering sweetness that will give you a stomachache. This one tastes much more natural.

🍰 Red Velvet 🍰

  • 2 oz fresh coconut water
  • 1 oz Bulleit Bourbon
  • .25 oz John D. Taylor's Velvet falernum
  • 4 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • Garnish with a piece of coconut

PS– I’ve mentioned it before, but Falernum is one of those ingredients that sounds expensive but it’s not! I got a bottle for $18 in my local liquor store.
