Forgot to post this cocktail from a couple weeks back that we drank on our anniversary. This cocktail from @wandpdesign‘s Shake book was the cocktail we served at our wedding!
Recently listened to an episode on maple syrup from one of my favorite podcasts, Gastropod. If you love food + drinks and the science + history behind them, you should definitely take a listen. In the episode about maple, I learned that maple is undergoing a major boom and is getting super popular in beverage aisles, Asian kitchens, and even biomedical research laboratories. It’s not just for pancakes. Crazy, eh? ???
?Rosemary Maple Bourbon Sour?
- 1.5 oz bourbon
- .75 oz fresh lemon juice
- .25 oz dark amber maple syrup
- 1 large rosemary sprig (+ 2 small sprigs for garnish)
Crush the large sprig of rosemary in your hand and add to the shaker. Add the bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup, and ice to above the level of the liquid and shake. Strain mixture into glass with ice and garnish with remaining rosemary sprig.
