This drink is basically a more complex whiskey sour from the #PDT cocktail book. Usually, I think the Maraschino liqueur overpowers most cocktails, but this one tastes more balanced than others. Also seemed fitting to photograph on top of a livestock feed sack from my mom. 🙂

A surprising bourbon cocktail with spicy elements!

Servings 1 Person
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon
- .75 oz lemon juice
- .5 oz Grade B maple syrup
- .25 oz Maraschino Liqueur
- 1 slice jalapeño
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
Instructions
Muddle the jalapeño with the maple syrup. Add everything else, then shake with ice and fine-strain into a chilled coupe.
