Another example of an improvised cocktail for times when you don’t have obscure liqueurs on-hand in your bar. While this cocktail would taste different with the black walnut liqueur, it tasted delicious in a different way with the muddled walnuts. 🙂
?Noctorne of November ?
1 oz bourbon
1 oz Scotch
.25 oz Fernet Branca
.25 oz black walnut liqueur (I muddled walnuts instead)
5 dashes sage bitters (or Angostura)
Sage (for muddling and garnish)
Rim with smoked salt. A trick is to add a bit of honey to the rim before you add the salt! Muddle sage with walnuts and shake other ingredients in.
This cocktail was improvised from the folks over at Dram Apothecary!
