Falernum! At first it sounds a bit more like a spell from Harry Potter than a cocktail ingredient, but it’s still pretty magical without being expensive or obscure. I found this bottle in my local liquor store for $18 and the more I’ve learned about it, the more I realized it is one of those cocktail ingredients that sound a lot weirder than it really is. I wanted to find something pineapple-y to be garnished with the dwarf pineapples I found at Dean & Deluca and this was delicious without being too sweet. 🙂
