There’s a comment on the NYTimes about this cocktail, “High-drama cocktail not for the weak-gutted.” Sean started making some horseradish tequila a bit ago and I was a little skeptical of the contradiction of horseradish with sweet ingredients, but it was delicious. Thought it was fitting to garnish with some crazy spirals of a nasturtium plant that is still growing. 🙂
🏵 Horseradish Pomegranate Margarita 🏵
- 1.5 oz horseradish tequila
- .5 oz Cointreau
- .75 oz fresh lime juice
- .5 oz pomegranate juice (I like POM)
- .25 oz simple syrup
In a bowl mix 1/3 cup grated horseradish with 1 cup tequila and let mixture sit for 24 hours. Strain through cheesecloth. Add all ingredients, shake, and pour over ice.
